Hope and Healing is a support group for divorced or separated women. It is structured around Scripture readings highlighting the Paschal Mystery and the Lord’s accompaniment with us as we walk the journey of healing in order to move on with our lives.

Paschal Mystery is one of the main teachings of the Catholic Church, and relates to the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus. If you think of this concept, the Paschal Mystery is the process  of dying, rising and bringing about new life. The divorce process is similar - but the focus of Hope and Healing is to bring about change and forge a deeper relationship with God.

Topics include: letting go of outcomes; self care and others. Group sharing is encouraged with an emphasis on moving forward with one’s life.

Eight-week sessions take place every year in the spring and fall at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church. Contact the Family Life office at 505-831-8117 for details or visit the
events page for upcoming sessions.

If additional professional help is desired, the
Archdiocese of Santa Fe Therapist Referral Network offers a list of counselors and therapists who have obtained education and training from the Archdiocese about the theologies, traditions, and values of the Catholic faith. The Archdiocese believes that such education and training gives participating counselors and therapists a greater understanding of our faith and its teachings in order to provide them with knowledge they may find helpful in counseling those of the Catholic faith. The Network list is updated annually.
